Which one should I get- iPhone 5c or 5s?

I'm getting an iPhone for christmas but my family doesn't have that much money but first I wanted the 5c and now I want the 5s. I know a lot of people say 5s is better but if you know the difference can you explain which one is better? My dad is getting 2 iphones one for me and one for my sister so it's going to cost some money.

Other than the fact that the 5c is plastic an in pretty colors it's pointless to get one your paying more money for a phone that has less processing power. Go with the 5s. Google the differences.

1. Processor

The iPhone 5S has a faster processor than the 5C. The 5S sports an Apple A7 processor, while the heart of the 5C is a 1Ghz Apple A6. The A7 is a newer, more powerful model than the A6, particularly because it's a 64-bit chip (the first in a smartphone, according to Apple). Because it's 64-bit, the A7 can process twice as much data at the same time as the 32-bit A6. Processor speed isn't as big a factor in smartphones as it is in computers (there are many other things that affect overall performance as much, if not more), and the A6 is very fast (it's the same processor as in the iPhone 5), but the A7 in the iPhone 5S will make that model a bit speedier than the 5C.

Like the 5S, it requires a two-year contract with a phone company, but when you get that, the 5C costs just $99 for the 16GB model (and $199 for the 32GB model).By contrast, the iPhone 5S costs $199 for a 16GB model, $299 for a 32GB model, and $399 for a 64GB model when purchased with a two-year contract.

Winner: 5C, but it is made cheap, so it is low cost. It's made of plastic.

I would definitely go for the 5S. Get a 32GB version, which holds a decent amount.

Walmart is offering a sale right now, I would get it on contract as its far cheaper (its not like people are jumping from carrier to carrier anyways). 5S is best but you can get 5C for $29, thats a really good deal.

Walmart is selling iPhones for cheap as part of a sale for the holiday season in late 2013. The retailer is, beginning on Friday, selling an iPhone 5C for $27 with a two-year contract from AT&T or Verizon. The high-end iPhone 5S is selling for $127 with the contract. The sales will be through December 24 or while supplies last.
