Which one should I get? IPod5th gen or iPhone 4?
My birthday is coming up and my friend was telling me i should get the ipod beacuse i won't have to pay for it monthly or anything and its cheaper than the iphone 4 so i don't know? I want the ipod cuz its bigger and slimmer but i want the iphone just to basically make phone calls anytime i need to but i rarley make phone calls even with my old phone i just text. And what i don't like with the ipod is that i can only text and have internet where there's Wi-Fi >,< BUT my friend knows how to gail break the ipod and let it have Wi-Fi anywhere but its complicated
If having internet everywhere is important to you, get the iphone. If it's not get the iPod. Also don't jailbreak either one. I don't care what your friend says, it will lead to problems.
Honestly get the iPhone my iPod is jailbroken and the Wi-Fi everywhere is a lie I had the same app (MyWi) and that is iPhone only for tethering so really you won't have Wi-Fi everywhere
I have both the iPod 5 & the iPhone 4, and honestly the iPod is much better. It loads faster, takes better pictures, and is lighter & slimmer. They also come in fun colours and are easy to put in your pocket and carry around. I rarely make phone calls also, like you said, but the iPod allows you only to text/communicate when there's Wi-Fi. So if you're planning on texting on the iPod 5 a lot, use it only where you have access to Wi-Fi!

1.yes, iPod5th gen is latest and greates and no monthly bills, but trust me, it's not a phone, so it'll be quite useless. You're hardly on any Wi-Fi, and when you are you always have to ask for the password. You'll disregard your iPod 5th gen in one month guaranteed.
2. IPhone 4 is more practical, you can actually make calls, text and receive data so you don't need to always look for a Wi-Fi hot spot. Get the iPhone 4, you'll feel more connected. It still runs games and even if it's not the latest and greatest it'll still work as a phone.
There's no jailbreak where you can get Wi-Fi anywhere. Your friend is misleading you. And it's currently not possible to jailbreak the iPod5th gen if it's on 6.1.3
