Who can tell me how to get past that activation lock on iPhone 5s?

I have proof of purchase to an iPhone 5s I purchased from eBay. Apple informed me that they or my phone provider could bypass the activation lock and that is why I purchased the phone for a better price than buying brand new. Then neither the Apple store nor AT&T could help me with my problem. The seller hasn't been much of a help and will not give me the information I need to get past the activation lock, is there another way?

Sorry you got ripped off. Activation Lock is a new feature in iOS 7. Unfortunately as of now there's no way to bypass the Activation Lock without the original owners Apple ID and password. Apple and other cell phone store will not be able to help you. The phone can only be used for part. The Apple ID is probably not the seller's because if it was his he would have sold it as a working phone for more. So thats why Activation Lock or iCloud Lock phone are so cheap.

There's no way you can do it yourself. You need expert help on that and it will cost you too. The seller won't give you info for that as he / she might've found the phone somewhere to stole from someone. If you need help bypass the activation lock, mail me for references.
