Why am I getting false push notifications from Facebook (iPhone)?
Every so often, I get a push notification from Facebook telling me that someone tagged me in a status.
Example: (John Doe has tagged you and 7 other people in a status.)
However, the person that supposedly tagged me is not on my friends list. It's a different person every time too. As far as I know, you have to be friends with someone for them to tag you in something, right?
The notification itself usually pops up in my lock screen or as a banner on my iPhone 4S. But when I get on the actual Facebook app, I don't have a notification for it so I never find out what I was actually tagged in. This has happened about three or four times. Facebook's help centre doesn't cover this phenomenon.

It's usually friends of my friends.
I've had it a few days now. It has been happening since I updated the Facebook app.
I'd like to know how to make it stop.
