Why are Apple products so popular? - 2

I've had some experiences with Apple iPhones and androids. My first phone was an iPhone 5c, I only got it because Verizon offered me one for free. It was ok, the battery life was terrible, it took forever to charge, the camera was good, but the front camera was bad, the flash was fine, it replied to my touch well, the cells were a little bad quality, the speakers were fine, and I didn't like it so much. Now I have an LG G2, Verizon offered it to me for $175 instead of the standard $400 price. It's much better than than any Apple product I've ever had in literally every way. But for some reason everyone around here has overpriced Apple products. Why are they so popular when there's better cheaper products?

As far as on contract prices as well as in most off contract ones the iPhone is priced either as much or in the case of phones like the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge less than (& no its not due to the GS6 being newer). So the overpriced argument is flawed.

Also as far as the 5c vs the G2, somewhat of an unfair comparison since the 5c was released as something of a mid-tier phone vs the G2 which was LG's flagship phone at the time.

Performance wise at the end of the year the iPhone out performs the Android competition, so its more than just looking at the on paper specs & making a judgement call on them alone.

Android phones tend to lag over time, come with more bloatware, are more prone to viruses & getting updates is a lesson in patience (or frustration if it never ends up coming)
