Why are apple products so popular?

I mean they are nothing compared to some of the other products on the market. They still don't offer 4glte like android, a swype like android, the screen is still puny compared to the razr or galaxy s2. The app store is more expensive than android, they music is like 1.29 now and android is down to 55 cents on some songs now. Don't get me wrong, its a great phone, my parents have them and i'm rather immpressed by some features like siri and the music app on there's incredible. But i just don't see what all the hype is about. There are millions of ppl waiting years for the iphone 5 to come out. But we never saw this when the razr max came out or the galaxy s2 came out.ohh and not to mention they like never have new models! It took them a year to come out with the 4s2, well i don't know am i missing something about the phone or what?

I'm not really sure why. My guess would be that since apple came out with the first smartphone, it caught on, so everyone got familiar with the iPhone and disn't really want to change to a new type of smartphone.

I don't understand it either because Android has better phones, way more options, and customizable.
I think the main reason the Apple iPhone seem so popular is because they only come out with 1 one time a year. The iphone really only has around 40 percent off the market.android has a bunch of phones on the market and come out with different ones all year round. So the phone sales are more spread out verses Apple where is all mostly at once. They have phones on the low, med, and high end. The high end ones are called flagship phones. They try to have a phone for different people. Apple only just has the one phone. Some of the android companies have 2 flagship phones. For an example Samsung has the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. Both similar phones but the Galaxy Note 2 has more options, faster processor, more bells and whistles, bigger screen at 5.5 inches, and a SPen. Also in the Android field there are more companies(LG, Samsung, HTC, Sony, nokia, motorola) that sell the android based operating system when apple iphone only gets made by Apple.
So you can see that it just looks like Apples iPhone is really popular because how they bring them out and only have one product when the Androids have multiple products. Also Apple is very good with marketing their products. They market so well that people want their new product even though they only have minor upgrades from their last product, no innovations, and the minor upgrades they do have Androids have been doing for years. Oh and also about marketing so well a lot of those people think android copy they iPhone stuff even though Android has had it way before Apple has.
