Why are humans so incredibly stupid?

I'm not calling myself superior, but think about it! Some litter for the heck of it, Some claim they care but really don't (PETA) and some are just fat dumb Homer Simpson clones!
So why are there people that just screw nature, think themselves superior to everything or claim they are psychic? Why would mankind be superior to animals? Intelligence? Most humans aren't even smart enough to go one day without their iPhones and go out into the wild! Animals are smart enough to have survived for billions of years! Humans can't even leave their own city or they'll lose Internet connection!

It's our own fault we have lost our way if we lost alot of our technology most of our population wouldn't last a year and its because we have gotten careless most people don't appreciate nature as they should because we have spent years forcing nature away.

Not all but its those who chose to learn the hard way and be stupid

It is not that we're stupid as a species, it's that for thousands of years we lived in such a way where we become blinded from reality. I'm not blaiming religion, but because of it, we ended up living in manner where we deny anything putside our belief system. We ourselves are considered a pack of animals that rely on one another in order to survive. Unlike other animals, we grew to a point where we managed to figure out complex situations and adapt to it. Because of our ability to adapt and change the enviromemt to suit our needs, we developed faster than our nature counterparts that feasted on us. From there we literally dragged ourselves from the middle of the food change to the top. Because of our ability to adapt, we created tools that we coupd use to fight off more dangerous preditors and other risk factors. Humans developed a complex language system that is far advance compared to most other animals, as well as requiring the most vocal sounds. But of course our species relies on a hierarchy and crom there our leaders decided for us. Humans are easily subjected to greed with wealth and power, anyone under their control will follow them, wether they like it or not. The seat of power is one thing that humans fought long over and still do. Let's not forget that we're very territorial among each other, so like other animals, we fight for turf. It is just the way we pass on knowledge to one another that influence alone is driven into the next generation. Keep in mind that humans as an individual is lazy and doesn't want to do everything, so we all contribute to working together to sub-stain our needed life style. As far as nature goes, we're the most intellegent creatures on Earth, not necessarily the strongest. And brcause hold power, people follow under the illusion that we're greater than anything else when in reality we would be screwed if left alone individually.

Maybe any other creature on earth, if they had the same language skills as us and opposable thumbs, (and learnt to cook thereby providing their bodies with easily digestible nutrition and allowing more blood to flow away from the intestine and to the brain) would have developed in the same way and would also love the internet, enjoy driving fast cars and do all the other shameful things that we do. And if that happened, there would also, no doubt, be some hierarchy and some "superior" member of that species who would also be asking the same question.
