Why are iphone plans so costly?
I want an iphone 4s with unlimited data (online games, downloading). But its 80 dollars per month!
Because people are on them all the time.
The short answer is because they can get away with it. Cellular plans are increasingly data oriented. IPhone users are notorious for using vast amounts of bandwidth, which led to the decline of many of the unlimited plans available. Those not grandfathered into an older pricing plan (such as yourself) pay a high premium for high data usage.
You might want to ask yourself why you need an unlimited plan. Are you near a Wi-Fi access point most of the time? Do you have one at home and at work? If so, perhaps you can live with a limited data plan (e.g., 500MB/month), and use Wi-Fi whenever possible. Otherwise, be prepared to shell out some major cash for a large or unlimited data plan.
Because it's a popular high-end smartphone, silly.
Ask yourself why should they give it to you cheap when you want unlimited everything and want to hog all their bandwidth? Most that have iphones use them ALOT… This isn't cheap for phone companies.

- Using 4G LTE vs 4G is it more costly? Does it cost me more data on my iPhone when I use 1 hr of Internet using 4G LTE then using 1 hr of internet with the 4G?
