Why are IPhones so expensive? - 2

New IPhones still cost at least $1,000 where I'm from.

Mmm baby I don't understand this
You're changing I can't stand it
my heart can't take this damage

Cuz they like ripping you off with hardware that will go bad in 2~ years.

Because a fool and their money are soon parted.

Updade: How strange, my experience has been completely the opposite. I've owned
3 Samsung Galaxys, simply because they work. I owned for 2 years and the next one 5.5 . Both worked flawlessly. The first was replaced under contract, the other one lasted almost 6, yes 6 years was finally replaced when the battery finally died. I replaced that one with another Galaxy.

A relative of mine gave in with his IPhone 5 as it had slowed to a crawl and had battery issues with it 3 years ago. Replaced that with a 7 and moaned about having to pay for everything. Friends moaning about cracked screens and the cost of repairs, even from third party vendors.
Overpriced junk in a shiny case, that costs a fortune to buy and everything else is pay, pay, pay. IPhones, now, not a few years ago are for kids, footballers wives and fanbois. Anyone who spends 4 figures on a cellular phone is crazy.

Well, to be fair, you can get an iPhone 7 32 GB for $450. They're expensive because the apps are screened and you don't get viruses and malware. They're simple to use and manage memory better than the competitors.

Just stay away from iphone for god seek

I like the Palm Treo better. Someone was looking at a music video with it before.

I like buttons. I do not like Iphone. One of the earlier Androids was interesting to me but no more qwerty now except for the Blackberry Keyone or Keytwo.

Because they're expensive to design, prototype, test, manufacture, and distribute. Although Apple doesn't charge for its operating system, iOS, the cost of its development, testing, and deployment is also a part of the cost of the iPhone. Then there's advertising, marketing, and promotion. Finally, they have to make a profit to stay in business and continue making innovative products in the future. When you think about it, iPhones are really not that expensive, considering how advanced they are and what it takes to make them.

Apple designs and engineers not only the hardware of each phone, but the software too. Apple crafts and controls the entire user experience. Historically, competitors like Samsung have built the handsets, and used Google's Android operating system to run them. Carefully integrating software and hardware is more resource intensive, and thus, naturally, raises the price of the phone.

Because of the apple on it

  • Why iphones are so expensive? They claim to have quality materials but one drop its all over with it. Anyway what justify the price. Some smart phones can perform the same for a less price (with similar features). Is it because an iphone is popular? The phone doesn't even have a radio FM, and has battery issues most of the time. I just don't get it.
  • Why everybody think iPhones are expensive? I mean i hate iphone yes they are expensive for the price you pay for what you get… but they are at the same price with many android phones like xperia z, galaxy s4, note 2, htc one, htc butterfly
  • Why are used iPhones so expensive? What does unlocked mean? I just sold my 2 year old iphone 4 for $240 on eBay. Why are they selling so high? What do they do with them?
  • Why are iPhones so much more expensive in england than america? I was just browsing around on the Apple site, and I was having a look at the iPhone 5 when I realised that I was on Apple USA site not the UK, and switched to the UK site. The iPhone 5 on the US site said from $199 but when I went on the UK site it said from £529! That is like $788 dollars! Why the hell is the iPhone 5 (and basically any iPhone model/apple product) so much more expensive in the UK? 199 dollars and 788 dollars is a huge difference.
