Why are iPhones so expensive?

I'm sure it isn't labor cost / asian

People fall for the hype, meaningless buzzwords, glossy adverts and the in store 'experience'.

All of this marketing has to be paid for.

Because people are willing to pay that much. Besides the features and quality that put them in the top tier right along with Samsung, the brand has the same kind of reputation that allows Porsche and BMW to charge a premium.

Because they're made by Apple and you're paying for the name i'm sure

Your iPhone is probably faster and more powerful than your PC in a much smaller size. There's more power in your phone than was used on the flight to the moon.

Mainly to make You ask why.

A secondary reason is the high quality parts and manufacturing standards.

Third, a manufacturer is free to ask any price for anything,
and if enough people pay it, the trend will continue.

Apple is expensive

High quality hardware, huge selection of excellent apps, frequent iOS updates with new features and free to users, works seamlessly with Apple's other products (Macs, iPads, Apple Watch), and excellent support. I'm happy to pay the higher prices because I feel I'm getting exceptional value for my money.

Built into the price, are costs of R
& D, labor, mats, and the price the maker's guess what you will open the wallet or lay the card down & buy

Better products cost more. Mine is now on 3.5 years and never a problem. Battery life is still really good, and its still worth alot if I trade it in today.

  • Why iphones are so expensive? They claim to have quality materials but one drop its all over with it. Anyway what justify the price. Some smart phones can perform the same for a less price (with similar features). Is it because an iphone is popular? The phone doesn't even have a radio FM, and has battery issues most of the time. I just don't get it.
  • Why everybody think iPhones are expensive? I mean i hate iphone yes they are expensive for the price you pay for what you get… but they are at the same price with many android phones like xperia z, galaxy s4, note 2, htc one, htc butterfly
  • Why are used iPhones so expensive? What does unlocked mean? I just sold my 2 year old iphone 4 for $240 on eBay. Why are they selling so high? What do they do with them?
  • Why are iPhones so much more expensive in england than america? I was just browsing around on the Apple site, and I was having a look at the iPhone 5 when I realised that I was on Apple USA site not the UK, and switched to the UK site. The iPhone 5 on the US site said from $199 but when I went on the UK site it said from £529! That is like $788 dollars! Why the hell is the iPhone 5 (and basically any iPhone model/apple product) so much more expensive in the UK? 199 dollars and 788 dollars is a huge difference.
