Why are iPhones so popular?

Why are iPhones so popular and considered cool. I think they are overpriced, and literally every new iPhone does the same as the last. There are much better, and cheaper alternatives, all which do the same as the iPhone. For example. I know plently of other phones with better camera quality, face recognition, more apps, with more freedom within the phone and at a fraction of the price. I think people are just buying for the brand and not for the quality. Because if I'm totally honest iPhones aren t as good as people hype them up to be

IPhones personally are the easiest phones for me to use. I have tried transitioning to android but I'm already used to iPhone, Android is way too complicated for me. So maybe perhaps, iPhone is just easy to use.

A few years ago owning an IPhone was something, a premium phone that made people green with envy. These days they are owned by teenagers, students and fanbois.

I've used Android phones and I've used iPhones. The iPhone is much better. For me, the biggest issues are integration with my iMac and iPad, and the apps. When I use Android, the standard phone (I've used Samsung and LG) is fairly bare bones. I have to purchase and install many productivity apps that comes built in with the iPhone. And the quality of Android apps is much lower than iOS apps. Plus, practically every Android app I use either hounds me with in-app purchases or advertising. I also worry about malware from many Android apps since Google doesn't seem to do a very good job of maintaining the quality of apps available in their store. Apple has better quality control. And also, I've found that Apple treats their customers better. Several years ago my husband bought an iPhone 4. Around two months after he bought it, it fell out of his pocket and the screen broke. We took it to the local Apple store where he bought it, and they got a box from the back with a brand new iPhone 4 and transferred the data and just gave him the new phone. This summer he bought a Samsung Galaxy S9. Less than 72 hours later he cracked the screen. Samsung and the store said there was nothing they'd do for him. He had to pay $299 for a replacement screen. Apple has better customer service, which can be worth it.

Not sure why. I always been an Android fan

I don't want "cheap", I want the best. No the cameras are "not" all the same. I have had 3 different iphones also and the number of problems I have had is zero, that includes dropping it pretty hard on cement accidently and still no issues. The apps on the iphone are also really good, and the music with iphones are the best imo.

Apple for years has been branded as a "high quality" company, they make things that are intuitive and last long. Personally I trust Apple (I have a MacBook & iPhone) more than other phones. It's a personal thing, kids might not like an iPhone because it might not have as many games as an Android. I have no desire for Phone games etc.

Then don't buy one.

"literally every new iPhone does the same as the last."
--Wrong. The original couldn't do things the 3G could & so on & so forth until where we're today with the XS/XS Max/XR.

"There are much better, and cheaper alternatives, all which do the same as the iPhone"
--Examples? Hopefully you aren't yet another one of those people that just look at the spec sheet, see the numbers & go with that & that alone.

"For example. I know plently of other phones with better camera quality, face recognition, more apps, with more freedom within the phone and at a fraction of the price."
--Again, examples would be nice. Apple right now has the best facial recognition in the game. Other facial recognition systems are not as secure as Apple's though they are faster, likely for that reason. I'd rather the security & its not to say its horribly slower in comparison.
More apps? I'd rather quality or quantity. In fact today there was a discovery that there were some apps that were actually malware, & thus removed.
More freedom? I'd rather the more secure iOS than "freedom" of Android (with the usual recommendation of anti-virus) & eventual crippling lag & wait period of updates (if they end up coming at all).
Fraction of the cost? Again, not one of those on paper people. I'd rather in practice performance.

Apparently not many companies focus on the UI. Iphones have the best skin followed by Samsung. User friendly. Also their hardware is awesome and they are expensive too. So

Easy using
