Why are phone companies given away the iphone 5 for free?
In order to get the customer to buy 24 months of service… Duh!
They discount the phone so you will sign a 2 year contract.
You get a discount on the phone but you have to pay for service from them for 2 years, usually around $60 - $100 per month. If you cancel early before 2 years they charge you a huge fee.
To make people pay for a 2 year contract thats atleast £40 and above which is too expensive!
- Why do some companies assume everyone has an iphone? When they make a new app, for example to check your account balance, they announce it as an iphone app.
- Why are all wireless companies charging a deposit on iPhone 5s? I've tried every cell phone company and they never mention a deposit fee, until I enter all my info then submit. On the finalizing page, they all say I have to put a $400 deposit down. Does anyone know why all companies are doing that?
- Setting up a College-given Hotmail account in Mail or Sparrow for iPhone? I attend a school where the email given is hotmail, but the address is not xxxx@hotmail.com. When I try to access my account on Mail or Sparrow on my iPhone, I can't get it to work. It either says that it can't connect, or asks for ingoing/outgoing servers, etc.etc. And then tells me it can't connect. If anyone has any ideas for Mail or Sparrow they would be much appreciated! I will use whichever I can get to work, so please let me know if you have ideas for either app.
- Phone companies with iPhone 5 plans? I've been looking everywhere for a phone company in CANADA that sells the iPhone 5 on a 2-YEAR TERM. Every where I've looked sells it for a 3-year term ONLY, but I don't want that long.
