Why can't I import all of my photos from my iPhone 5S to my Windows 10 PC?

I have 1,516 photos that I desperately need to removed from my iPhone 5S and imported onto my Windows 10 computer, but I'm running into a strange issue. When I go to the photos app on my PC, and click "Import from a USB device," instead of giving me the option to import and delete all 1,516 photos from my phone, I only get the selection to import 9 random pictures. And when I try to import the 9 random photos, it gives me an error.

Tried copying them manually, plug in the phone, close off iTunes if it opens.
Open file explorer> This PC
Your iPhone should be listed. Open the iPhone and navigate to the DCIM folder, all your photos will be stored in any subfolders listed

Sandisk makes a nest little memory stick with an apple lighting connector on one end and USB on the other.
You plug it into your iPhone and download the app iXpand.
It will organize your photos and allow you to move them to the memory stick. Then it will ask if you want to delete them from your phone.

You can the. Remove the device and plug the ZuSB end into your PC.
It will show up as a drive and you can then move the photos wherever you want.

Really quick and easy.

  • Why won't my Macbook Air let me import my videos on my iPhone to Photos? I just went to a concert last night and I took a few videos and I would like to add to my photos library but they are not importing. Does anybody know why this happens?
  • Windows 8 won't import my photos? I'm using windows 8 on a laptop. Every time I try to import my photos from my iPhone, it goes to a black screen (the photos option) and instead of importing the photos, it just stays black.
  • Windows 7 Laptop will not import iPhone 3GS photos, but imports videos? I tried to import photos and videos from my 3GS using the import photos button built in to Windows 7. For some reason the photos will not import when I try, but the videos will. I get the message "The following error occurred while importing IMG_0003.JPG: The system can't find the path specified. What do you want to do? Try again, Skip this file, Skip all files with errors." The phone was unlocked and it still did not work.

But for my Iphone 6 IIm trying to get it off the section where it says like Years/Collections/Memories which has a bunch more photos but it won't show up. And these were btw transferred from another device where the original photo was taken but it was same apple. But where it was originally taken is gone now. Anyway any help please?
