Why can't i see gps metadata from someone's else photo?
I read about this in Mark Goodman's book:"Future Crimes" and i wanted to try if this actually works. It doesn't for me. I tried
my iPhone photos (even turned on location accesses for camera) and i just can't see gps coordinates.
Do you maybe know what is the problem?
Depends on how the image you are looking at is saved. The raw GPS metadata is saved in an extended header. But if you post that image online then often you will not post the extended header information, but only the file and it's file name.
So if I post an image to FB or twitter it'll strip off the header, but if I post the same image to Flickr it won't!
- Why am I receiving calls and texts from people thinking they're calling someone else? I've had this phone for about 5 months. It's an iPhone 5. I'm getting texts as though they are actually in action texting someone else. Constant responses but no replies from … Show more
- When I save a photo for a Contact profile on my iPhone does that person see the photo? I saved a photo of my friend falling off of his bike as the image in my contacts. It's a very funny picture. However, I don't want him to text someone and for that picture to be subscribed to his number so other people can see it. Can someone tell me if I'm just being stupid, or if that is actually the case?
- Using someone else's Wi-Fi on iphone, can they still see your app history? Yesterday I went to work with my friend and I used the places' Wi-Fi, I'm at home right now and no longer using their Wi-Fi, can they track my history and app history in my iphone even if I'm not using their Wi-Fi anymore?
- Is there anyway to receive someone else's iMessages but not letting them see your messages? I'm fully aware of the Send & Receive settings in the iPhone, but is there anyway of receiving my son's iMessages but not let his iPhone receive mine? We both share an Apple ID, I'm very suspicious of my son over the past few days, I would like to get his messages but not let him get mine.
