Why can't I update my iPhone

You need to have Wi-Fi to update the software. If it jailbroken you need to restore it on the computer. Just go to iTunes.com download it its free then connect your phone to the computer using the USB. Pnce it shows up click on the select restore.

What iphone do you have, and what firmware?
- New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
- Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.

So I went to a friends phone retail store he unlocked my iPhone through a company wich gives u the code to unlock and then he connected it wit Net10 (AT&T). Pretty sure it was a legal unlock MY QUESTION IS: can I still update my iPhone 4S to IOS 7 even though my iPhone is unlocked? Because if I do I'm worried my carrier settings wuld erase and I wouldn't have a line with Net10 any more.
