Why did I get charged $1.00 twice from Apple iTunes?

Today I bought an iPhone 5, my first Apple product. Before I could start putting apps on the phone I needed to make an account. It took a few attempts because the final page wouldn't load after filling in the information. It asked for my bank card information and later upon going to transfer some funds I noticed two identical charges of $1.00 each from:

DDA PREAUTH APL*APPLE ITUNES 866-712-7753 CA

This makes me really nervous because upon googling for an answer I found many people getting enormous charges from very similarly named accounts. I wouldn't be so worried if it were just one charge, but it's two. Has something gone wrong… Should I be contacting someone at Apple about this?

See if you can email them and ask, never heard of that happening. Its only a $1 but I would inquire and they will just remove it if its a mistake.

Well I got the phone in December and I dropped it in school and it got a little damage but no harm no foul, but I dropped it today again in school and now there's more damage. So far everything seems to eb fine it turns on and all but I haven't texted no one yet so i don't know. DO you think it will eb fine or should I begin considering getting a new one soon.   • Why does my iphone5 receive text messages twice? When my iphone5 is on the lock screen and I receive text messages, unless I respond or look at it right away I will receive the same text message a minute later. Does this happen to everyone? How can I turn this off? It's very annoying!
