Why did vodafone charge my iphone viber calls?

I'm using my iphone 3 given to me by my sister in HK. I insert a contract vodafone sim card in this phone and everything works ok, except for the viber calls. Vodafone charged me about £50 for a 45-min call recently. They insisted that it was an international call and not a viber call! Now I dare not use the viber apps anymore. I don't know if the phone had been locked in HK but I didn't have to unlock it in order to use my vodafone sim card with it.

Its totally free either national or international. Did you have internet pack?
Have you used TranscribeMe App of iphone. If not then try that also. Its very interesting.

This is an official representative of Viber Media.

When you make a Viber call, make sure your screen stays purple (Viber) and does not switch to the regular calling screen of your phone (meaning - a cellular call). Sometimes the call is switched to a normal cellular call because your internet connection is disrupted or the destination contact is temporarily not recognized as a Viber user, when this happens, a message pops up alerting the user that the call is switching to a regular, cellular call (thus costing money). The user has to accept it to continue the call.

  • Why did my apple account charge me twice? I recently was locked out of my iPhone and lost everything, contacts, music, pictures, messages, apps, ext. When I reset it. When I finally got back into it I redownloaded everything I had before, and after I did my apple account was charged 10 dollars. I'm very upset because it charged me twice. Can somebody explain why this happened?
  • Why did Apple charge me $24.34 online? I bought a sim-free iPhone 6s on Apple's website three hours ago. The total was $689.56 and it's set to be picked up by my sister. When I checked the bank statement on my phone app, it showed that they charged me $24.34 aside from the iPhone's cost and the tax ($689.56). Does anyone know what the $24.34 is for?
