Why do apple have such a good reputation
Why do apple have such a good reputation when actually their phones are crap. If you check the 5s specs up against the Sony Xperia Z1 the z1 will beat it everytime. That leads on to my second question, why do Sony phones have such a bad reputation. I'm a Sony man with everything Sony and nothing goes wrong so why do people think crappy iPhones are the best?
PR & branding… It doesn't hurt that Apple revolutionized a couple key things… The computer GUI and the portable music player… Of course one of those is dated (the GUI) since Windows has ran with that ball.Jobs had a lot to do with how Apple was perceived and it remains to be seen if they can continue to capture the brand-name buying market without his iconic image leading the show, much-less if they can continue to innovate.
Personally, I prefer my PC's universal application, I love my Sony Walkman and I can't stand smart phones. I'm not a fan of advertising but that one by Microsoft for their new pad, pitted against the iPad, where the female voice personifies the iPad, sums it up: "Do you still think I'm pretty?". That is exactly the modern Apple.
People are foolish, simple as that. And are ignorant of the fact that other companies produce better products with less restrictions for less money, because they are to busy buying the next iPhone every two weeks.
The real question is why are you so obsessed that you have to run to messsageboards and cry about it? Thats the real question here.
You look at the specs & the Sony looks better but you failed to look at those specs in action & then find out the 5s actually out performs it easily. So on paper, yes. In practice, no.
I don't think Sony phones have a bad reputation. Just that they don't make anything that stands out. Yes that particular phone has a 20.7MP camera but after Nokia released their 2nd 41MP camera.
Sony's Android UI is not exactly heralded, then there's Android's usual fragmentation issues.
For the record I have Apple everything & I have no issues as well. They just work.
- Why is Apple turning in such a cult? I swear I can't go anywhere with out seeing an iphone or ipad I don't get it. It keeps you sheltered from the real world.
- Why does the FBI have such a hard time cracking iPhone encryption. Why don't they just use the spy agencie's methods of using spyware? All you need is their phone number, and a cheap piece of software and you have access to everything on the phone (including deleted info) Why make a huge scene about it, when there are much easier ways to bypass lock screen encryption? You don't even need access to the phone, it can remotely install with just one phone call to the number too… Just saying, if the FBI really wanted in, it would be very easy
- Why does my video have such bad video quality? I uploaded my video to the computer and it had great video quality, then I uploaded it to Facebook and YouTube and It looked horrible. It there anything I can do to change that? Save it a different way or something? I see all these YouTube videos that have been filmed by iPhone's and they have great quality. Shouldn't my 14mp camera have even better!
- Why does my Ipad's ear buds have such a static sound? I record videos on my Ipad using iphone ear buds plugged into the audio port, but when I listen to the video, there's this annoying almost static-sounding white noise that is distracting. Its constant. I don't know how to stop this, to get clearer audio. Any tips?
