Why do I come out different in iphone 6 camera?
I've been trying to make videos with my iphone 6 and my face doesn't appear as it does on my mirror. My eyes look 10 times smaller and my face looks 10 times wider… Is an actual camera going to have the same effect? If i buy a good dslr or good point and shoot would my face NOT come out wide and small eyed?
Those little phone cameras have wide-angle lenses which would be like a 24mm on a film camera and so they always distort close-ups. Portraits on film cameras were typically taken on an 85mm lens in order not to have any distortion and so that the background could be blurred.
If you bought a DSLR with an articulating LCD like Canon T5i, Nikon D5300 or Pentax K-S2, and then put a 50mm f1.8 lens on it then it would be almost exactly the same image crop as one of those portrait film cameras and you'd be delighted with the results. They come with a 18-55mm kit lens and the long end of that would be OK, though it's not so easy to blur the background as the lens is comparatively 'dim'.
You wouldn't do too bad with a Canon G-7X compact as that's got a 1" sensor and nice bright 4x zoom lens and also an LCD panel at the back that flips up to the top of the camera for videos and sefies. See what people have taken with it below: LOL your camera isn't distorting your face An actual camera? My guess is the same. Picture quality depends mostly on the photographer's skill. The camera is only a tool. It's how you use or set up the tool you are using. A mirror shows your reflection, which is reversed from reality, whereas a camera
shows you as you look to others.
The same goes for your voice:
A sound recording will reveal to you
what you sound like to others
(and it's usually not as good as you'd like).

- Why is my iPhone 4s camera different quality to another iPhone 4s camera? My mum has a iPhone 4s like me and her iphone camera seems better than mine by Quite abit. My camera is kinda grainy and I was wondering if it's anything in the settings that can change this? It's not majorly bad quality but it's definitely different to other 4s cameras!
- Why does my camera look different? I have an iPhone 5S. I smashed my phone screen so I took it to my local phone repair store to get it fixed. They say they replace the whole screen instead of just the glass (which is what most phone repairers do). They do this for £64.95 which includes a 12 month guarantee and a free screen protector. Since getting it fixed earlier today, my camera has looked grainier than before. Does anyone know why?
- Why do my eyebrows look different on the iphone camera? Hi, i was taking pictures of myself on the iphone 4 camera, and i noticed that one of my eyebrows look much thicker than the other and my whole face is on the opposite side, is the camera faulty or is my eyebrows really that bad?
- Why do iPhone 5 front camera picture come out the opposite direction? When I take front camera pictures they come out the opposite way as if your seeing letters in a mirror. The only way to fix it is in an app but is there any way to fix this in the actual camera app? I just want the pics to look the same way
