Why do i look good in only some pictures?
So i have an iphone, and i look good in some pictures and bad in some pictures. Some of the time my face looks asymmetrical on the front camera and other times my face looks symmetrical.Same on the back camera… Sometimes i look good and other times i look bad. Why is this? Is the front camera, or back camera more accurate?

Is the front camera, or back camera more accurate? The back camera on a phone is always the better camera. Both cameras have wide-angle lens which distort objects (and faces) that are close. The best way to get a true representation of any subject with a phone camera is to shoot from some distance away -- greater than arm's length. They are not "accurate" or "inaccurate". The front camera on some phones flip the photo, which may make you look different. You looking good is your own perception. Don't spend too much time worrying about your looks. Lighting and distance from the camera. It's usually photographer's skill. With you, it's luck. Because you are not a good photographer The ironic thing about all smartphones (including all iPhones) is that while they're the most used device for taking people pictures, they all have the worst possible focal length lens for portraits.
If you want to stop looking bad in photos, your only option is to use a real camera with a zoom lens. However, if you want to stop looking bad in photos taken with smartphones, there are few things that you can do.
1. Get the camera far away from your face - About 10' should be enough. Anything closer and wide-angle distortion will cause everyone too look weird.
2. Stay away from the edges of the frame. Most distortion occurs at the edges of the frame, so the closer you are to the center of the frame, the better you'll look.

- Why does my pictures look alot different on my iphone than on my computer? When I take a photo of myself it looks a lot better on my iphone than on my computer. Why is this? I think it has something to do with the brightness on my iphone and computer but I don't know. How do I fix this problem? And my photo looks different on different computers. Like when I use my computer my photo will look completely different from when I use someone elses computer Its definitely the brightness but how do I fix the problem
- Why do I look so fat in iPhone pictures but good in the mirror? So I've been on a health kick lately and I looked in the mirror today and I thought I looked okay. I was actually happy with my body for once. Later I took a full length pic with my iPhone 5 and I couldn't believe how fat I looked… Omfg I'm so depressed now. I feel like all my hard work eating healthy and exercising was for nothing. Why did I look so fat in my pictures but good in the mirror? Which is more accurate? Ughh
- Why do I look so bad in some photos? Some photos I look really good in. My hair, skin, facial features and everything looks natural, but others look like a completely weird version of me, especially photos taken with the iphone 4 camera or flash photography.
- Why do I look different in pictures taken in the mirror? Compared to pictures taken of me or on my iPhone(front facing camera)? I find when I'm in front of a mirror taking a pic I look different. Is it because of the refection? And which one looks more like me? I'm guessing the one taken in front on the mirror?
