Why do most people have iphones?

Is it a monkey see monkey do thing? Are they the better phones? And of course if you don't have one youre going to see they aren't but every other person I see has an iphone. If you have one what is so special about it and what color do you have?

Added (1). Well I have an iphone and has had one since the very first one came out. I have tried other phones but always went back to the iphone within 30 days of having the new phone. Its just something about it, the look, the feel, the apps, i don't know but I love my phone. The other phones out now are way too big and bulky and look like mini televisions and I don't want a handheld tv

Yes, some people buy iphones because it is MSMD or the need a lot of hand holding to use technology. But, actually most people have Android smartphones. Apple makes iphones, where many companies make Android phones, the best being arguably the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is superior to the iphone.

In the first sentence you answer your own question. It's peer-pressure and brand image. They are incredibly overpriced devices that offer nothing over the competition. Consider the fact that everything including the screen is made by other manufactures like Samsung and the whole build-quality argument breaks apart.

It's mainly just people uneducated on technology and apple fanboys who buy them.

I have an old samsung. And I love it, it's so simple, I just need it to make calls. I was given a new iphone as present but don't use it, I gave it to my brother. I'm open to new technologies, but a phone is just to phone.

Most people either buy them because their friends have them and they want to be just like their friends, or because they are popular and they think they are the best phones.

Yeah I don't have one and I don't want an iphone.people have them just because of others. I think peer pressure too. I see no point an having an iphone. I notice more older phones stay alive and new phones die quick.

Because they don't know how cool Xperias are

I have a white one. It's more of a fashion statement because it is sleek and doesn't look like a tablet such as the samsung galaxy. Iphones appeal more to the younger generation because of the apps and the way it was made. I love my iphone. There are different cases to make it look better and it fits right into my pocket.

Best security, best design, imessage, siri, best apps, facetime, etc.

I was going to choose a iPhone 5 because it looked nice, but i needed a phone that not only looked nice but performed great. Not that the iPhone doesn't work as well, it's just my personal opinion. Also i disliked how small the iPhone screen was. So with all of these options considered, i decided to get the Samsung galaxy s4 instead.

Because this is a nice phone.
