Why do you have to install messenger on iPhone to view messages?
It won't let me simply check Facebook messages on the internet. I do not want to install Facebook app or the messenger app because i Rarely use Facebook and rarely do I get messages so it's stupid to install something I don't use. Do they gain something from me downloading the free app? I have to use my laptop to view messages or never read them.

Because that's how the internet works, dear - you can't get messages on a phone if you don't have a message client
Its a Requirement by Facebook thats why they won't let you view your Messages or send any unless you have Facebook Messenger Installed
- Why doesn't my iphone 5 let me view picture messages? Everytime someone sends me a picture, i receive it but when i click the photo to see it full size, it just loads forever. Does anyone know how to fix this? It started happening recently.
- Why can't I view my messages on MySpace? I downloaded the MySpace app for iPhone. It's working fine til when I checked my Messages, I can't create/write nor receive. I only found out I have messages pending when I logged in using Safari on my iPad. I figured to try it on my iPhone but MySpace isn't responding when I log in using Safari on iPhone. - Why can't I have kik messenger? I have got a iPhone 4 and really want kik messenger but when I go into the App Store the button you click to install it is a faint grey colour and when I click it nothing happens!
- If you use FB messenger, do your messages show up in your inbox on FB? Say someone was messaging you from the FB messenger app from their iPhone and you didn't have the app on your phone - the messages will show up as a message in the inbox. What if you were to download the app onto your galaxy note and then message this person back? Would the messages you send from the app be shown in your messages on FB?
