Why does apple keep releasing new products so soon?

I recently got the iPhone 5s about 2 months ago because I upgraded from the 5c and I find out that the 6 is being released in August and it's very annoying because when your on contract you have to pay like 350 for cancellation or upgrade and restart your contract over and keep doing it so you can keep up with your friends and stuff who have the new iphone is very irritating. Why do they keep doing this? Samsung doesn't produce nearly as fast.

I think it is to beat its competitors that have released new products like:
Samsung s5
Xperia z10

Because their products are made with cheap material and break easily so they need to keep bringing out new stuff

Simple because apple just wants you to buy there products. Think about it when you hear about a new phone being released and all the new features, what's the first thing you think of? You say to yourself I want that phone. Don't get me wrong I do that too, the s5 came out and I'm like tf! I want that. Haha I've been stuck with a s3 for a while now haha.

The release date for the next iPhone isn't official yet, and neither is the name actually. Apple released a new phone every year, not sure how you haven't figured that out yet since they've been doing it for 7 years. Samsung makes more phones and devices annually than Apple.

Call it - Marketing strategy.

Apple's fan base is very sheep-like (sorry). Apple knows that they can make money this way because their loyal customers will compete among themselves to get the latest product first. You have seen people literally lining up around the block to get the new iPhone, so they know they can release products as rapidly as they want and people will line up to buy them. It's a simple supply and demand equation. While Samsung isn't guilty of this, I don't suggest getting a Samsung phone because they are made of plastic, the OS is laggy and bloated, and it isn't nearly as nice as an iPhone or a Nexus phone.

Actually with Samsung currently cradeling 2 phone series, the Note and the S line, they release twice as many phones a year as apple does.

The reasons companies do this is because it makes money. Alot of people like you can't stand not having the latest tech, and they update phones every year to compete and take your money. They have to have the best phone at every point in the year otherwise other companies will have the best phone and people who are looking for a phone during that time will get that. For example, LG will sell alot of G3s because from May 27th till August or September, it will be the most powerful Android phone until the S5 Prime (or S6) and the HTC One M8 Prime (or M9) are predicted to be released.

Do you have any clue that its been almost a year? People ask the dumbest questions here. You are also even dumber for not realizing samsung has released even more.
