Why does it open a software update when i want to restore my iphone?
I'm restoring my iphone, but it only opens a software update that is taking forever to download, even though its a small file. My iphone is already up to date. Why is it doing this and how do i get around it if it isn't necessary?
To restore your iPhone, iTunes re-installs the iOS software, hence the download.
It is necessary for the phone to be restored via iTunes.

- Itunes fails to download iPhone Software Update during restore When i try to restore my iPhone itune starts the restore by first downloading this thing named as iPhone Software Update ( even though my iphone is aLREADy running 7.0.3) . Whenever 50-60 MB of it has been downloaded by itunes the download speeds gradually slows down to 0 and download fails. Why is this happening. Its not a problem with my internet connection.
- Is ''Iphone'' software only or hardware and software? I've never had an Iphone. I always see it anounced in an absolutely black device, such as this one: http://pective.com/m/iphone-5 I wonder whether, when you're going to buy one, you go to the apple store and buy the whole thing, or look for a Nokia or Sony smartphone and then go to the Apple website and buy and download the software into your device.
- If I software update my iphone will it update all my apps? I really like these apps I have but they need updates and my uncle(ugh) won't tell me the code so is there anyway to update a app without a password
- If I restore my iPhone I'll have to get iOS 8.4 I don't want it. But I need to restore my iphone? Okay if I restore my iPhone I'll get iOS 8.4 which I do not want. So if I restore it and iOS 8.4 is now on my phone, will I be able to downgrade to iOS 8.3? But I need accurate answers. Because if I don't this and I can't downgrade then it'll suck!
