Why does my face look so long in my iPhone?
When I look in my mirror I look okay. I'm comfortable with it. I look pretty. But when I take pictures with my iPhone my face and forehead looks LONG even when someone else takes the pictures from few feet away. I also look horrible in them. Should I rely more on the camera or the mirror? ALSO, I like how I look in a digital camera. The mirror and digital camera give me a similar look, but I look even better in the mirror. Is it just my iPhone?
Cameras need to take a 3d image and turn it into 2d so it displays on screens/devices, naturally there will be distortions, trust your mirror.
You are too close to the camera even at a few feet. The distortion is caused because all phone cameras have a wide angle lens. It causes wide angle distortion. Basically phone cameras are pretty useless for taking a portrait because of the wide angle lens problem. The only real solution with a phone camera is to get further away from the camera - hand it to someone else to take the shot.
Alternatively buy a proper camera that doesn't just have a wide angle lens. Even a cheap point and shoot will do. If you are taking selfies, put the camera on a tripod and use the zoom to get closer and frame the shot. Use the self-timer to fire the shot or enlist the help of a friend.

My face looks thinner in all mirrors I look in to. My mom has a picture of me with my face looking horribly round and huge. It was taken with an iPhone camera. So I don't know if it's the camera or if its me. Pictures make me feel insecure. A lot of times I see pictures of myself I feel like I'm looking at a different person!
