Why does my iPhone 4S say 12GB even though its a 16GB?
The box says its a 16GB but my phone says its a 12GB why does my phone do that?
Added (1). no I didn't buy it online, my dad gave his old phone to me about a year ago
It might be a fake one. I would find out the authentcity by bringing it to an apple store. Did you buy it online? A lot of places online or not from an Apple store sell fake Iphones.
Because you never truly had a full 16GB worth of space in the first place. Once iOS is installed it takes up roughly 3GB of space, so that automatically drops you down to 13GB, and then you have to factor in the simple fact that formatted memory on iPhone is never a true 1024MB for 1GB but rather 1000MB for 1GB, so you lose almost another 400MB just on that calculation alone meaning you only had something like 15.6GB of actual space to use period for the OS and all other application data.
Storage space for OS.
- Will apple replace my iPhone even though its customized? So I got an iPhone off of eBay a few month ago and of course it has some problems like the home button not working properly, the speakers don't work, the promoxity sensor doesn't function, etc. And it wasn't abused or neglected or anything like that. I'm not under warranty so I'm aware of the 149 dollar fee to replace it. But will they let me do that still even though there's a customized pink backing on it?
- Why isn't the Wi-Fi on my iPhone 4 working, even though the signal is strong? It worked this morning. It worked when I went out for lunch (Starbucks has free Wi-Fi, duh.). And it worked when I went shopping (at Target. However, when I came back home around late afternoon it stopped working. I have Wi-Fi in my house, and even when the signal is strong, it just keep loading it. No usual checkmark that shows it works. The Wi-Fi works fine on my brother's 3DS and we already checked the home computer router. I just don't know what's wrong.
- Why Iphone 4S won't read T-mobile Sim card even though factory unlocked? I have an iphone 4S and it reads Att sim card no problem, i had the phone factory unlocked and it even said Congratulations your iPhone is unlocked after i restored it in iTunes, but all it says is no service i tried two different T-Mobile sim cards. I even checked my imei number online and it said the phone was factory unlocked. Is there anything i can try, i've never ran across something like this.
- Why does my iPhone die even though I have battery power left? I will get to around 30% then it will flash to 1% then turn off, is this common? What shall i do? Is there anyway i can fix it?
