Why does my iphone 5 keep dying so fast?

I bought an iphone 5 in March of 2013, and when I updated to ios 7, my phone battery drains super fast. I went to the apple store and they replaced my battery, but my phone is still dying fast? Does anyone know any fixes for this? And if I have Apple care will they replace my iphone 5 for free?

That happens to everyone can't be helped

What does "fast" mean? If you post lazy then don't expect any answers.

Please understand that Apple makes/codes new IOS updates ONLY for the NEW Iphone of that year, in this case IOS7 for Iphone 5S and 5C… IOS6 for Iphone 5, IOS5 for I4s and so on… IF lower models/hardware update to the new IOS7 software, which were not coded for the new software, then they will become slower and die faster… This is a fact of life with Iphones… IOS is a closed sourced system, not Open Source like Android. It is made for 1 and only 1 phone… Not all iphones, which iphone crack heads tend to think…

Next, please understand background process drain battery… The more you make the phone CPU and RAM do… The more battery will get sucked… Another fact of life

you said they replaced the battery. Good… So that negates a defective battery. You either have a Defective phone… Or… Your just a typical iphone user with no technical education on how your device works.

If I were you, I would Itunes Restore back to pre-box settings… Wiping All of my data… If the battery issue remains, then I knwo 100000000000% that I have a defective or broken Iphone 5… For AppleCare, if its still in 1yr Warranty, You will get a new iphone 5 for Free. If you are no longer in warranty, then you need to cough up $99+tax for a new iphone 5

If the issue remains on the NEW iphone 5… LMAO… Well… Then… Start learning the iphone… LMAO!

Wow android commenter, you couldn't be anymore rude and obnoxious. Maybe learn to answer like a normal human being and not think more of yourself than necessary. I'm sure you'll comment back on how "dumb" I must be?!

  • Why is my IPhone4s battery dying so fast? I've had my IPhone 4s for a little over a year, and I charge it every night and when I wake up it's at 100%. When I take it off the charger, it starts going down. I wake up at around 9 AM every day and by 1 PM it's already at like 40%. I still have the old software (haven't updated to I0s7 yet) and have like 2,500 pictures so is that maybe why it's dying so fast? Please let me know!
  • Why is my iPhone battery dying so fast? I just bought an unopened iPhone 4S, because I prefer the smaller phones, and the battery drains in less than 5 hours. The phone was never used before, but is the age of the phone the reason it's dying so fast? Will replacing the battery make a difference? As those are old as well even if I but an unopened one. bought* My previous iPhone 4S is just as old, but was used constantly. And that has much better battery. Lasted two days, even if being used a lot.
  • Why is my iPhone 5s battery dying so fast? The only apps I have are the ones Apple put and two games. Should I get the battery replaced? If so how much do you think it'll be?
  • Why is my iPhone 5s battery dying so fast all of a sudden? Since the new iOS 8.0.2 my battery has been draining so fast. Literally every 2 minutes my battery percentage lowers by one.
