Why does my iphone save contacts that i deleted?
I've deleted contacts from my iphone but when i type their name when writing a new text, their contact information shows up. I don't want their contacts anymore and I want their numbers to be permanently deleted so I don't have their numbers. How can I do this?

Same thing happens to me and I don't want to see the contact ANYMORE!
- Why does my iPhone keep contacts that I've deleted? When I go into my contacts and delete them, they're gone but I can go into messages and type in that person's name and it will still be there for me to text. When I text them, it shows up as their number not their name, but my phone remembers it for me to contact them. How do I get rid of this? When I delete a number I don't want to have any access to it. I've tried deleting it off iCloud and my phone, no luck. Any advice? X
- Why do my DELETED contacts still show up in my iPhone? When I go to "new message" and start typing a name it will show a DELETED contact's name. For instance, my friend changed his number. I deleted that contact & made a new one for him. Whenever I go to type a message, the old DELETED contact shows up with his new contact. IT IS So FRUSTRATING.
- Why do deleted contacts show up on my Messages? I recently deleted some people from my contacts list on my iPhone 4 (iOS 6.0.1). I have cleared all of my text messages and when I type in a contact's name to send them a new message, for some reason, the names of these people I have deleted still show up with their numbers listed as "Other". Why is this?
- Why did the iPhone update add back a contact/contacts I had deleted? Pretty irritating to see a person show up in my contacts whom I deleted over 6 months ago. A name and face I don't want to see. I mean I deleted the pictures and everything yet I just found that his pic and all his contact info was in there. Is it just a glitch where it did a restore from 7 months ago for some odd reason!
