Why does my iphone say i have too much storage?
I can't take photos or download any apps. I have deleted all my apps, messages, and over 100 photos. It will not let me even update to IOS 7 because it says there's not enough storage. I mean i literally have nothing left on my phone. Do i have to go through icloud? Its a 4s
I HAVE DELETED EVERY APP AND OVER 100 PHOTOS AND MUSIC. OK?
Added (1). Thanks mother f****. Tried that. Doesn't work. Anything else?
Don't re-post. Your a n00b sorry but you are you could have just plugged it into itunes and updated it manually through your computer but you didn't. Its really not hard.
How much GB is your iPhone, if its 8GB then you will have to delete quite a few things to get the right amount of space. The operating system take about 2GB off the original Storage Capacity, so if you got 8GB then its 6GB left, if its 16 somehow you have 13GB left.
Also the things that make the iphone work, use about 600MB which is 3/5 of a GB
Videos take up quite a lot of space so make sure you take some off, try to move them to a pc rather than keeping it on your iPhone
Connect it to itunes on a computer. If I'm right itunes will say the phone is filled with 'Other' data. This means a corruption of the storage of the phone itself. You would have to restore the phone through Itunes as new and then re-add everything over again via sync or re-downloading it. Backing up and restoring from said backup would not help as it brings that corruption right back on over.
I don't know if this will work or not but I would try to do the reset to factory settings thing but you will have everything wiped out including passwords picture ect. No guarantee though
- Why does my iphone say that there's not enough available storage? I deleted about 400 pictures and 20 videos and I have 10 photos right now but if i try to take any it says my storage is full? What can i do to fix this?
- Why does my iPhone say that I have no storage space? I deleted so many apps and it still says that I have no space. I can't take pictures, download apps, nothing. I've tried turning it off and on and it says the same thing. What can I do to fix it? I'm trying to do everything I can't to restore it.
- Why does my iPhone say not enough storage? So my iPhone all of a sudden is saying I do not have enough space. So I've deleted all my apps accept 2 and deleted a lot of pictures, videos, music, etc and it still won't let me download / take pictures. Why? What do I delete?
- Why does my iphone say I have used so much storage? It say I have used 5.3 GB. It say I have 821mb left. I added up all the apps and and its like 3300 MB. I looked it up and its like 1000 MB in a GB. So that's like 2 GB that's being used that isn't there. What is taking up all my storage. Can someone please explain?! And can someone tell me how to free up some storage if I can
