Why does my iphone screen keep controlling itself?
So my iphone is in horrible shape, in terms of a broken screen. It's having a hard time responding to touch and I can't type. Also, it keeps opening apps on its own. Someone told me that the screen is pressing up against the digitizer and is acting as if I was touching the screen due to the cracks. If so, can I just replace the broken screen or do I have to buy another phone? I want to wait on the iphone 6 to use my upgrade.
There are places that will replace the screen for you, a new phone isn't needed.
Your friend is probably right, or at least, it is a totally plausible guess. I would recommend replacing the screen first before you do anything else. If that does not fix the problem, try taking it to Apple and seeing if they can take a look at it.
- Why does my iPhone 5 keep locking itself? My iPhone 5 has recently been locking itself whenever I'm using it. Sometimes the "Slide to Power Off" screen will appear out of no where. Whenever I turn off the phone it just turns itself back on. This is the only problem I've had with it.

- Why does my iPhone 4 keep turning off and on by itself when its plugged in? I have an iPhone 4 and whenever I unplug it, it turns off. I can't get any source of signal, the Wi-Fi switch is greyed out, the date changed to December 31 and the time is an hour behind. The battery before I plugged it in was 20% its been 5 minutes and its up to 100%. Pretty weird.
