Why does my iPhone show the Apple but doesn't turn on?
I downloaded a cydia app and after it was downloaded it restarted automatically and now it just stays with the apple showing on the screen but it doesn't turn on. Can someone tell me why?
Sounds like you bricked your phone. To fix it, you're going to want to revert back to your back-up, if you have one, if not then you're screwed.
To revert your phone to your back-up, do the following:
- Connect your iPhone to the computer that you normally sync it to that contains the backup file.
- In the center of the iPhone management screen, you'll see a "Restore" button. Click that.
* When you do this, iTunes will show you a few introductory screens. After them, you'll need to agree to the standard iPhone software license. Do so and click "Continue".
- Enter your iTunes information.
* Next, iTunes will display the list of iPhone backups that you can restore your iPhone from (in most cases, this will be only one backup, but in certain circumstances there will be more). Choose the back up you want to restore from - based on its being the most recent one or the only one - and continue.
Tadaa! You're done!
