Why does my iPhone usage not add up?
Settings > General >Usage
It says "2.9 GB available" 9.9 GB used. I have a 16 GB iPhone. 9.9 and 2.9 don't add up. Where's the remaining 3.2 GB?
The remaining 3.2GB is what was on the phone when you bought it. (FaceTime, calendar, Siri, etc.) You did not get exactly 16GB.
- Why does my iTunes add more memory to my iPhone? I just had a 2 MBs left to use on my iPhone so I deleted some apps and ended up having about 800 MBs available to use. I sync it once and immediately its cut in half to 400 and a couple times letter I'm back to where I started and that's pretty frustrating considering I've added 10 MBs maybe total since that time. Does anyone know why that is happening? I thought it was genius play list but I turned that off and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Why does my data usage go up when I'm not even on it? And if I get a twitter notification while I'm off of Wi-Fi, does that take up data? Btw I'm not opening twitter, I'm just getting a notification.
- What is (does) and unlocked iphone (do)? Phones internet usage? I currently own a mytouch 3g phone. I want to upgrade to a better smartphone without having to pay out the A$$. My friend told me to go on ebay and get an "unlocked" iphone. What does "unlocked" mean cell phone wise? I use T-Mobile currently, could an unlocked iphone be used with T-Mobile? How i get internet currently on my mytouch is that i connect to my home Wi-Fi router. Can the iphone do this as well? Or will i have to pay extra for internet use?
- What does reset statistics under cellular usage mean for the iphone 4? I've been trying to clear space on my phone because I have NO space on my phone. I have like 300 pictures and a couple videos on there… But I never really delete my messages or calling history… So is that what "resetting statistics" means? What's the best way to make space on your iphone 4?
