Why does the iPhone get faster every year with the same specs?

Apple does nothing to improve the GPU or CPU of their new iPhone's and yet it still manages to beat the previous years speeds. Why? How does Apple do it? I can understand the iPhone 5/5C to the iPhone 5S since the 5S added the new 64 bit chip bs the 32 bit but otherwise like from the iPhone 5S to the iPhone 6/6 Plus? It's the same GPU and CPU as before and yet it reaches twice the speed of the 5S. IPhone 5S has the PowerVR GX6450 GPU and the iPhone 6/6 Plus has the same. IPhone 5S has the A7 64 bit chip clocked at 1.4 GHz while the iPhone 6 has the new A8 64 bit chip that is yet again clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is exactly same except the name being A7 vs A8… What the hell? How do they perform so differently?

Its all about the architecture. And somehow with the same specs it still manages to outperform the Galaxy S5. While the S5 does better in a benchmark the iPhone is always faster in a speed comparison. Just watch a video. Even though it's the same hardware, it's been reworked. Meaning it al processes the info faster, makes be phone faster etc.

Specs don't mean that much, design is far more important. The A8 chip gets better, its the only 64bit phone, it doesn't start lagging, it plays games much better, etc

People don't look at specs the thing that catches there eye is the size, shape and color

The new iOS versions are even MORE optimized, and it's easy to make sure it runs fluidly because they don't have that much devices to take care of. Android on the other hand… Relies on raw power.

iOS and Android are basically the same operating system. Quite funny that no apple fanboy understands this fact.

Every year Apple states "3x faster" than previous year - this means that apple products are 60.000x faster than 10 years ago. Which contradicts development in all other areas. Maybe Apples statements about "faster" is bogus?

  • Why is iPhone 5s behind in specs compared to other phones? I've never had an iPhone and was thinking about getting one but i compared specs to other phones like s4/One and iphone is behind all these top of the line mobile devices. Why do people keep buying these phones? What makes them so special?
  • Why does apple release a new iphone every year? I don't think it's fair. We all spend so much on a new iphone and find out a new one s coming out next year… It just really annoys me!
  • Why does Apple keep releasing new products every year? Why does Apple keep releasing new versions of the iPhone every year? Sometimes the newer version really doesn't make a difference from the older version. Also am I the only one who hates it when they release new versions of the iPhone? Like I want to an iPhone but I'm scared that they'll come out with a new one making mine look old even though I just bought it. Woah! There's no need to throw unnecessary hate in my direction. Mmmkay
  • Why do so many people wait in line for the new iPhone every year? Seriously, why not just wait a few days or weeks to get it? I just don't see the point in going out to the Apple Store really early to wait in a huge line just to get the new iPhone.
