Why does Tumblr re-size my images?

I don't know why, but for some reason whenever I upload my photography photos it always re-sizes them to around "500x333", however this is only with my hi-resolution photos, which were originally around 4608x3072, it does not happen with regular iPhone quality photos. If anybody could please help that'd be great.

  • Why does my tumblr safe mode say it is turned on? I shut it off. I go into the app, and it says its on. I then tried it through a tab on the internet, and it still says its on. I marked my blog as explicit even. I restarted my phone; I also tried deleting and redownloading the app. I go into my iphone settings and shut off safe mode for tumblr, but then as soon as I go into tumblr it says it is turned on, so I go back into settings and its turned on! What is going on why is it not working right i shut it off i'm pissed its not working
