Why don't certain features of iOS 6 work on iPhone 4?
I bought my 8gb iPhone 4 less than a year ago, and it hasn't been out much longer than that either. I just downloaded the new iOS 6 update and realized many key features, such as panorama photos, spoken maps directions and 3G FaceTime capabilities are not not supported on my phone, yet they are on the 4s, which is virtually the same thing with the exception of Siri. Why is this? Is there actually a legitimate reason, or is it just Apple's way of getting people to buy another phone from them?
You could probably be right about Apple's politics game as far as finding ways to get people to buy another phone from them; It's not 100% sure though - but I'll recommend you'll enjoy that iPhone 4 which you must have paid a fortune for it. I've done the same and I'm still on the 4. My wife enjoys the mentioned features on her iphone 4s though. I'm waiting for the iPhone 6 or 7, or 8 or who knows - probably a Windows based phone - but not anytime soon. I have 2 iphones 3G and 3GS that I no longer use; one is gone - gave it to one of my coworker who really wanted an iphone so bad. I'm kind of tired of iphones, so soon will go different route (never Droid though - I just dislike those phones).
Please enjoy the features you have on your iphone 4; let the other features go past and you'll be fine. I'm coping with this also… But am trying to enjoy every single moment with this phone.
Your exactly right. I have the iPhone 4 and there's no panorama, 3G FaceTime etc. It's just a scam to get more money out of you
That's just Apple trying to make people get the new iPhone. It sucks.
Siri only works with 4s and above so it's obvious that you won't get turn by turn voice navigation in ip4.
Facetime over 3g should've been there i feel.ip 4 only has hspa 3g speeds n not hspa+ like 4s but still it should've been enough.same with panaroma.
However there's much in 4s over 4 than just siri.both camera n chipset got serious updates with 4s over 4.
The updates besides spoken maps could've been there in ip4 but i think apple wanted to diffrentiate both in terms of software.that's the only reason i can think of.
- Will current iPhone 5 users get all iOS 7 features? Will i get the Slo-motion update and burst mode when updating to iOS 7? and another question, will there be any iPhone 5 in stores? Not iPhone 5c because it looks cheap.
- Why won't Facebook let me move certain photos to certain albums? I want to move certain photos to certain albums and when I click on "edit album" then i hit this arrow button on the picture and when i hit "move to another album" it gave me an option of 2-3 albums to put the picture into. What should I do? The picture i have in the album was from my iPhone that i currently don't have anymore and that's the last picture of it! Please help me! I don't wanna erase the album or any other!
- Why won't certain websites work on my computer? The two websites I know of that don't work are amazon.com and collegeconfidential.com. Amazon works on Safari, but not Chrome or Internet Explorer. College Confidential doesn't work on any browsers, but my iPhone. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it? College Confidential is very important because I will be applying to college soon, and there's a lot of information that I would like to read on there.
- Why don't my Emojis work.iPhone 4 iOS 6.0.1 iMessage? People get my Emojis but I don't get theirs I get?=? Sometimes I get blanks. Btw everything is updated on my phone and my emoji keyboard is on. Is there an emoji app I should download if yes please give me the link. And iMessage doesn't always work with all iPhone users its set as text message instead of iMessage" and they get my Emojis even when I use text message but I don't get their.
