Why Has My Iphone 5 Stopped working?

My iphone5 has stopped working? I pluged it in not to long ago and it just froze and turned off since then it hasn't turned on i thought it was my usb cable but i've had 2 now and it won't charge! Please Please help me:'

Just had this happen to me… Hold down the lock button and the home button together for about 20 seconds. Phone rebooted and is working fine now.
Not sure why this happened, but this trick worked for me.

My phone has done the same and can't get it working - Apple store could not help either

My iPhone 5s stopped working unexpectantly. I had answered a call, hung up, and tried to use it 2 hours later and it was dead but wouldn't even take a charge. The above suggestion worked great but I only had to count to 10.

Same here on the iphone 5s---but be patient i tried the power button and home button but not long enough and said damn---but tried again held about 10 seconds and presto--cool stuff

My iphone randomly shut down and wouldn't come back on. I tried charging it for 3 hours and it would not come back on. It only took 5 seconds for mine to work. Great tip!

My home screen button doesn't work and have tried holding down for about 40 secs and still no joy last time this happened it took a full day to turn on n wen it did it had no battery warning I need help
