Why is it called third party? Who are the first and second party?

So like in iPhone, you are not allowed to use a third part charger because it is not supported but I was wondering if there's a first party or a second party charger that exists?

In this example, 1st party is Apple, Second party is anyone that sells genuine Apple products and 3rd party is a charger that hasn't been made or certified by Apple whatsoever.

Lets take your example of the iphone. In this case the first party is apple, the second party is you. Some others will consider the second party to be official partners.

First party, the manufacturer
Second Party, the user
Third party, a supplier of services or physical items for the first party's product.

  • Third party iPhone charger? How fast can it cause damage? I have always known using third party no name iPhone chargers can wreck your iPhone and stop it from charging properly, so I avoided. But I plugged my iPhone into my friends charger which I realized after was not an apple charger, it was only plugged in for 5-10 minutes before I removed it- could it possibly have already done some damage to my phone? I can't tell if my phone is charging slower or if I'm worrying myself over nothing!
  • Nightshift for iPhone 5C? Third party app recommendation? Ok so as you may know, iOS 9.3 came with the new nightshift feature which makes your screen more yellow allowing for better sleep. However, this feature is not included for iPhone 5C and down (5, 4S). Is there a third party app from the internet that allows the same effects? No jailbreaking required please. Link if possible. I do have a Mac if needed.

  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
