Why is it so awkward when I'm with/around my uncle?

So he's over for the week and I hate it cause when I'm on the computer at night he's in the living room. If I want to go get a drink I actually wait for him to leave to the bathroom or to bed. I was hungry this morning and I was going to make a salad. I was making it and we made eye contact but still, it's just weird. We never talk or anything. When he arrived here all he said was hi. All he does is sit on the couch playing on his iphone, apple laptop, and his ipad. He has no family, no wife kids or animals. Why is it like this?

OHMY! I can so relate to you, girl! Except he has a family and he's already a dad! But yh i feel so umcomfortable around him and stuff, am so close w/ my other uncles but w/ him, is just. I don't know. Even though we try and pretend we're okay, we know we're not, like we're still kinda awkward. The only time we're so comfortable is when my mum (his sis) is around: O. But there's sometimes we're close to and then i start thinking "but he's so nice, why am i not close w/ him and i start regretting" but anyway, what avice i'd give you is, if he did anything in the past to make you upset and you argue, just try forgive him, turn a new page! Just be yourself and normal around him.
thats what i do, i try not to define our relationship as awkward at all.
