Why is it taking forever for my iPhone to sync with my laptop?

Its been 5 hours and still counting. Is this normal? How am i supposed to add new songs to my iPhone? Fyi, its a 4s model. Main concern is why is it so hard for me to sync my iTunes playlist to my iPhone.

If you are adding many new songs in one time (like for a first sync for example) it is normal that it takes a long time. Just think about the quantity of data that is transferred maybe 16/32 gb.

If it is not the first sync maybe ou should try to restore your iPhone and proceed with a new sync. Sometimes a bug happens during the sync process and the iPhone is syncing everything each time you connect your iPhone to your computer.
