Why is it taking so long for Straight Talk to transfer my number?
I had a phone that I transferred from Tmobile to Straight Talk using Straight Talk's SIM card program. I just bought an iPhone from Straight Talk and it was delivered today around 5 PM. At that time, I activated the phone and I'm still waiting for the number to be transferred. It is now 12:30 AM.
How much longer will it take? I have been waiting forever for the phone and now I'm having to wait even longer to be able to use it.
Added (1). Oh and also I keep checking my account online and it still says "Port in Progress" under my iPhone.
Added (2). Cool, except had you read my question, you would notice that this time I activated a Straight Talk phone. When I ported my number from tmobile it took 5 minutes. It's been well over 12 hours. Please try to pay more attention when you read next time.
When you port your phone number from another company to Straight Talk, it can take a few days to port. Straight Talk will not help you with your port until it has been 24 hours after you ported your cell phone number.
You will need to wait until 24 hours after you have ported your phone number, then you will need to call Straight Talk and see why it is taking so long.
