Why is my iPhone 3rd generation not charging?
Why is my iPhone 3rd generation not charging?
Might be the cable if you have upgraded to ios 5.1 or higher the cable might not work happened to me too
I had the same problem! For me, it was the charger. But my friend also experienced this and it was not her charger. Just simply wouldnt charge! So she turned it off and then pressed the on button and home middle button at the same time really hard and it turned on, and started charging. It might not work, but it did for her, 2 times
It's either two electrical sources:
1) The cable.
2) The socket its plugged into.
It all depends on how old your cable is. If it has moderate to severe wear and tear on it (i.e.exposing wires), its time to replace the cable. Check the power socket you used. That's always a deal breaker. And if none of the tests above proved anything, Hard reset the iPhone. You hold the Home+Power buttons until it restarts. No data is lost in this. And, if none of the suggestions have worked, Take the phone to Apple and let them know. They will cover it because it's a defect, unless you had some accident with the phone (i.e.liquids).
I would try what the others said and if that doesn't work, do a full backup and restore everything
- Why is my iPhone first generation not getting incoming calls? It will get texts and outgoing calls work but when I call the phone, an alarm is heard and the call never goes through. I'll take any troubleshooting ideas.
- Where can I watch Doctor Who on my 3rd gen iPhone? I have a 3rd gen iPod, are there any sites I can watch doctor who on. My computers not working so this is all I can watch it on. I mean either 9th 10th or 11th doctor, one of those. And a site that has all the episodes of a good amount thanks.
- IPhone charging cable not supported but still charging? I have a genuine Apple cable that came with my iPhone 6 (updated to the latest iOS). It fully charges up but when it gets to 100% I get a message that says "this accessory may not be supported". I don't see any damage to the cable and I have only had it a couple of months. Not sure whether to just ignore it or not?
- IPhone 5 charging, then not charging? I plug in my phone and it charges and then stops charging. So it's like constantly vibrating. I just got a new cable so I don't think that's it. No water damage. Any ideas? Or a quick, SAFE fix until I can get it looked at. I leave for camp tomorrow or I'd go do it then.
