Why is my iphone bill so high? How do i fix this

I have had an iphone for 3 years now but last January I got the iphone 5.It wasn't until March when my phone bill peaked up to around $500 when it is usually around 70.

I think its my data usage that's so unbelievable high making my phone bill so expensive, but I don't know how to stop it. I called Apple and the guy even said the amount of data used is humanly impossible to do.

So is this a glitch in the phone? I've done nothing different with my phone for the past 3 years and since march my bill has been crazy high and iv had to pay most of it.

Also, turning off the cellular data button was suggested for me to do although i didn't even know that button existed and have never turned it off and neither do my friends so why all of a sudden is this happening?

Added (1). Also all i use my phone for aside from texting is twitter sometimes facebook, instagram, youtube and the odd google search. The Apple guy also said it is as if I stream videos literally 24/7 on my phone which is obviously not true

The very exact same thing has been happening to me. What I did to stop the phone bill from going high is get the largest data plan package you can. Check your data usage everyday. If somethings wrong go in to your phone conpany and complain everyday. Thats what I did. If that don't work call a support system for your phone company and if they can't help ask for a case number and the persons name you talked to and then turn them into head quarters!

An app is probably using all that data. Are you using something like Pandora or Spotify to listen to music? Are you watching a lot of online videos? Those things can cause you to shoot past your data limit.

I think previous services you used were at cheap but now for iphone5 new features have come and so the new services and many online apps which runs on background.tell the problem to customer care. Or disable your internet connection from setting (not call) so if apps run in background would not take or make use of your data plan.

You have an app running that is downloading data in the background. This is a good reason to have an unlimited plan. You should be able to find out which app is using all the bandwidth.

Check your bill and see what the charges.

  • Why is my iPhone storage space used so high? I have a 16GB iPhone 4s. I have no songs or videos on it. I have about 32 apps and 500 pictures. My storage space used is at 13.2 GB. Why is that so high? That is almost all of my available data? How can I bring this down? I have a friend with the same phone, same number of pictures and about the same number of apps (maybe a few less) and his storage is only about 4GB used.
  • Unlimited talk and text but still high bill (Verizon Wireless)? So I have an iPhone 4 by Verizon with unlimited talk and text. When I first bought this phone I was paying 103.00 for a while, then it went up to 104, 111 and kept getting higher. So a few days ago i receive my bill in the mail and it said 160! What the heck. I'm not buying any apps, I get them all for free, my data is extremely low… What is going on? Is there any way I can make my bill go down to it's original price? I'd much appreciate the help
  • My T-Mobile bill is so high? Okay so I'm on the T-Mobile website preparing to get the contract iPhone 5s with the 20 $/per. Month and when I review my cart it says the cost monthly is 87 dollars?! The contract just adds 27 dollars, so why is there an extra 20? The one that is 0 dollars to buy on the site but has a contract.
