Why is my iPhone delivering iMessages to an android?

I work at a phone store and a customer had an issue with her LG phone. Everyone that had an iPhone would send her a text and it would show up as "delivered iMessage" on their end, but she never receives the message. I tested it out with my phone and I would have to press and hold to "send as text message" before it would deliver in iMessage. She did say she had gotten her number changed recently so I assumed the number was still registered as an iPhone number. Would anyone know how to fix this issue?

It's a glitch if she used to have an iphone or she has an idevice as well

  • Why won't my iPhone send iMessages? I have an iPhone 4S and my friend has the 5. She kept the same sim, so when she got her 5, the old messages from her blackberry weren't deleted. But now, our messages aren't sent through iMessage and its really annoying. Any ideas how this could be put right? All my other friends that I message are sent on iMessage, just not her.

Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
