Why is my iPhone GPS acting wonky?
Whenever I'm driving and I turn on my GPS, it starts out just fine. However, as I continue on the path, sometimes the compass begins to float off course even though I'm going the correct way. Then Siri will tell me to "proceed to the route", even though I'm already on the route. Furthermore, if I do end up going the wrong way or passing up a turn, my GPS takes FOREVER to redirect me in the right direction.
I'm wondering if it is something wrong with the actual phone (I bought this phone used) or if the problem is with my service provider (I use Virgin Mobile which is owned by Sprint). If the second option is the issue, then I guess switching service providers would help?
I recently just started driving with Lyft, so fixing this problem is a must.
It sounds like you are using a navigation program that relies on mobile data.
That is a really bad idea… Mobile data connections are often very poor or erratic from a moving vehicle.
Get a navigation app that stores all data on the phone, so it's not reliant on outside connections to work.
I use the "Tomtom" navigation one, that is really good & work very well.
There are various others including some free ones.
I've been using Apple Maps. And Lyft uses their own navigation system that is ran through Google Maps. Even though people rave about Google Maps, neither of those work. I've also tried using Waze in the past, and it has the same issues.
- Why is my iPhone Wi-Fi acting up? Okay so lately my Wi-Fi on my phone has been really annoying. Like I refresh a page or app and it like does the circle thing for a while and says error on the app. Itll be "refreshing" for a couple minutes and stop and its really annoying. But my Wi-Fi is fine on my computer and everything else. Please and thanks!
- Why is my iphone acting weird? Lately iphone 4 has been speeding up songs and skipping back and forth and randomly pulling up voice control, its pretty frusterating, is there any way that i can stop this? I'm not sure if its the earbuds doing this or just the software, i have yet to update it to ios6.1.2 but i'm not sure that will help, i just need help please
- Why is my iPhone acting weird after updating it? When I'm using 3G and I search for something on google or try to open a link from my Facebook app, I get a message that says "Response Error. Technical description: 502 Bad Gateway - Response Error, a bad response was received from another proxy server or the destination origin server." What the hell does that mean?
- Why is my iPhone 5s acting weird? So just recently my iPhone has been acting up. Every time I listen to music Siri will always pop up when I didn't do anything. It will always pause randomly. Then it will always skip to a new song or it'll skip really fast through the song. My phone is only four months old and it just started doing all of this and it's only when I listen to music other than it's fine?
