Why is my iPhone not getting activated?
I updated the iOS on my iPhone 3GS from 4.1 to 6.1 or something like that. Now when the phone started i reached start-up up to the Wi-Fi network selection screen. After that it a screen appeared telling me to wait while the iPhone is being activated.iTunes is also not showing anything. Then suddenly the iTunes screen says it can't be updated, please try again later. I have tried several times but it's not working.
This is a known iPhone 3GS issue. You'll need to resolve it with Apple Support. It's too bad you waited so long to try the update, as of the end of October they would've given you an iPhone 4 as a replacement for free in lieu of your crashed upgrade.
Have you tried taking out the sim card then putting it back in? If not, take it to your local apple store or carrier. Maybe they can get an upgrade for you soon.
Why won't my iMessage work
- Why has my O2 iPhone 4 sim not activated yet? I traded in my blackberry for an iPhone 4 two days ago, and obviously they had to do the 'sim swap'. They told me it would take 1-24 hours to activate but it's been over two days now. I can't do it manually on the O2 website because I don't have my old phone anymore.
- Why factory unlocked iphone 4s is showing that the iphone is not activated? I bought factory unlocked iphone 4s on ebay for my sister-in-law who is in europe. And the seller assured that it is factory unlocked and will work perfectly. I have non activated sprint sim card and when i inserted it in to the iphone it showed that "the iphone is not activated.contact the carrier". What does it mean? Does it mean that the phone is not factory unlocked?
- My Iphone isn't working to an extent, says not activated? My Iphone works like normal you know, making phone calls, texts, and surfs the web and all. What isn't working is the Facetime, Imessaging, and installing profiles under the Settings. When ever i try using facetime or installing a profile it says waiting for activation and then says Iphone isn't activated? I have verizon and I went to them and they said I probably have to go to apple, any suggestions or ideas.
- IPhone says 'iMessage not activated' and? People are getting texts from my email instead of iMessage, also I'm not receiving texts. Anyone know what to do?
