Why is my power button on my iPhone 4 so hard to push down?
My iPhone power button didn't used to be this hard to push down. Why is it like that? Is there a way to fix it? Should I go into Verizon and have them fix it?
That's most probably that there's someting wrong with the metal dome, go get to fix.
It happened to me just bring it to Apple and they'll give you a new one for free

It is a Verizon phone, I've only had it for 6 months and i have insurance on it. If I take it to Verizon will they just replace it if they can't fix it or will they tell me to take it to an apple store?
