Why is my T-Mobile bill so high?

I got service with T-Mobile recently and it was a plan for a family of 4. The guy who helped us out gave us a plan for 10gb each for 120$ all 4 plus I got an iPhone 6s which he said was 27 monthly with a 10 dollar protection thing. I payed 107 for activation for the 4 lines and the new phone. At the end he said we were going to pay 160$ all together monthly plus taxes and fees, which we said was pretty good. But now it said our first bill is going to be 181$. Why is my bill so high? I live in Virginia

Check your bill

You pay for the prorated first month and then the following full month. Also, expect to pay taxes each month.

Have you read your bill?

Plus tax title license and registration, monthly.

Stating the bloody obvious here, but why not ask T-Mobile?

They're the ONLY source of an authoritative answer to your question.

Cell phone providers can impose up to 42% taxes and fees on your phone bill. You are paying a lot of taxes and fees.

This is why I use a prepaid cell phone provider.

Because you have $21 in taxes and fees.

  • Unlimited talk and text but still high bill (Verizon Wireless)? So I have an iPhone 4 by Verizon with unlimited talk and text. When I first bought this phone I was paying 103.00 for a while, then it went up to 104, 111 and kept getting higher. So a few days ago i receive my bill in the mail and it said 160! What the heck. I'm not buying any apps, I get them all for free, my data is extremely low… What is going on? Is there any way I can make my bill go down to it's original price? I'd much appreciate the help
  • My T-Mobile bill is so high? Okay so I'm on the T-Mobile website preparing to get the contract iPhone 5s with the 20 $/per. Month and when I review my cart it says the cost monthly is 87 dollars?! The contract just adds 27 dollars, so why is there an extra 20? The one that is 0 dollars to buy on the site but has a contract.

  • How much is your monthly bill for T-Mobile/Sprint? I'm with T-Mobile, and I'm thinking of either upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S3 or switching providers and getting an iPhone. This will be my first touchscreen phone, and I'm more worried about how much I'll be paying a month than any of the activation fees for the phone itself. Can anyone tell me how much you pay monthly for your Android/iPhone? Would you recommend the plan you have?
