Why is my Verizon iPhone 5 unable to send text messages?
I just recently upgraded to the iPhone 5 with Verizon and for some reason I'm unable to send text messages to anyone. I can receive all text messages, but I can't send them to anyone. There's not an error message either. I'm in areas with perfect coverage and my service is active and paid for. Anyone know what to do about this?
Added (1). I've already been through Verizon and they have already sent me a new phone, but the same error is occurring. I send the text, and there are no error messages of any type. It acts as if it is going through perfectly fine, however, no one is receiving the messages. Even more frustrating, it seems to be only with very specific phone numbers. (This is not a lack of service issue, I'm not dumb) I have found one other person with a similar problem, but it did not appear as if they had a resolution.
Go to an iPhone 5 support forum to see if anyone else has had this problem and if there are ways to resolve it. If not, call customer support or bring your phone to an Apple store.
When you send the text message, what exactly happens? Does it send and then show the red exclamation point? The thing I would do is call Verizon and tell them what's going on. They'll probably refresh your satellite connection and if that doesn't work then they'll replace your phone. If they don't want to, take it to the apple store.

I have a friend who has verizon and it sends messages to him very fast and I have friends who have different carriers and it won't send to them. The send bar keeps on going and stops at the last second. I have turned it off and on again and I have reset my network settings. Nothing has worked at all.

I had been texting that one contact all day, but around midnight, my phone kept saying, "messge send failure" with a little "!" beside the text every time i tried to reply. Why is this? It's been around fifteen hours and it still won't allow me to send messages to that one contact.
