Why is the Wi-Fi on my iPhone and iPad so slow?
I have an iPhone 4, original iPad, and a big Mac computer. I'm having to ask this question on the computer because the connection is that frustrating. I have xfinity, which is usually fast, but right now it's just unbearable. But it's only on my iPad and iPhone. Why is this? How can I fix this? I've already reset both devices and it didn't work
Its not the wi-fi that is slow it is the processors that are in the mobile devices they are not as strong as the computer processor so they don't run as fast.
If you connect your computer to the Internet via Ethernet, then you should consider getting a new router. If you connect it to the same network as the iPhone and iPad, then I'm not really sure what your problem would be. I would expect the iPhone to be slow as it does not have a very powerful processor in it, mine is rather slow as well. However, my iPad works relatively quickly, not as much as the computer, but its not unbearable. Maybe they are not getting a good signal, try using them near the router and see if the connection improves. If it does, check for sources of interference or move the router somewhere else.

- What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro. I don't know how useful it will be since they are not likely to use it outside of their home and i'll be getting the non 3g version so it won't be much use when they take it out anyway.
