Why is Verizon Taking so long to process my Iphone 5 order?

Okay so i pre ordered my iphone 5 on the 15th. From the verizon store in my city. Now i know that people are getting there orders delayed but why? And its almost been a week or so and verizon still hasn't processed my order. When ever i check the status it says "We have received your order and it is in process" its been saying that for a while! The wait is killing me! And every other store in my city is sold out or only has 64gbs which i don't want so yea! And it says its expected to ship by October 5th! So if your a verizon worker please help me on this and whoever else wants to help is welcome! And i still have yet to receive a confirmation email all i got is a order received email.

Verizon, along with many other retail chains, are having huge shipping delays for the iPhone 5, primarily due to such high demand(Apple sold 5 MILLION iPhones just this weekend!) So you can see why there would be shipping delays, even when you pre-ordered the iPhone 5. Verizon especially seems to have the biggest delays, but don't worry, yours is most likely going to ship this week considering you pre-ordered yours. Verizon is just a little backed up right now, that's all. You'll be seeing yours very soon!
